Let’s Unbox a Keto Krate to See If It’s Worth the Hype!

...AND If ALL These Goodies ARE Low Carb!

Did you see me unbox my first ever Keto Krate last month? It was late so I made sure to order my subscription box ASAP so that you can grab one too before they are gone! So what’s in the September Keto Krate? Are they just as low carb AND are the products AND the box worth the hype and the cost? Stay tuned for all that and more!

September's Keto Krate

So last month the boys at Keto Krate sent me a box to try out, review and tell you about if I thought it was worth the cost for you and my time. Obviously I thought it was as I wrote all about it AND subscribed myself!

When my krate showed up Saturday I was thrilled but since I knew I wouldn’t have time over the holiday weekend to video an unboxing I reluctantly set it aside… OMG it killed me to see it sitting there! So bright and early this morning after getting the kids off to the school bus I popped that puppy OPEN with you on camera! Just look at all the goodies in the September box!

So you know I am including pricing from either Netrition, Amazon or the company’s own website so you know pricing differences and can shop wherever is best for you! The price listed under each item is the price that is listed on the card in the Keto Krate which is the MSRP.

Cello Parmesan Chips

Cello Whisps – Parmesan Cheese Crisps ($4.49)

The very first thing out of the box was the Cello Parmesan Whisp Chips that I have been wanting to try for like FOREVER! So of course I couldn’t wait to dig in! Michael and I both tried them… I think he likes them more than me. They have a nice strong Parmesan taste which makes sense since they are just cheese, milk products and salt. Don’t get me wrong, I like them but would prefer a flatter chip, like a “regular” potato chip.

I had one a while ago at a friend’s house she bought locally that is more like a chip and I guess it’s just a texture thing. These are about 1-1/4″ diameter and a good 1/8″ thick. That’s just a personal preference, I like really thin chips so I would prefer it be twice as big around and half the thickness, but that’s just me.  If you happen to know of a Parmesan chip that fits that bill by all means leave me a comment! I would love to try them ALL out!

I found these available at Amazon but they want $11.46 ($5.42/ounce) for the 2.12 ounce bag! What?! The better deal is the 9.5 ounce bag but that one is $15.48 or $1.63 an ounce.

Me? I will personally order them from Netrition since they offer me the best deal at only $3.99 for the 2.12 ounce bag in the krate! That’s $1.88/ounce.  Not as low as the 9.5 ounce bag from Amazon per ounce but it’s a great alternative!  I like too that Netrition offers low flat-rate shipping. It’s a great buy, especially when a full third of a bag is still less than one net carb!

adapt_coffee_shot

Adapt Your Life Hazelnut Coffee Shot ($1.49)

These coffee shots are absolutely  great to have with you when traveling!  Each easy-to-open foil packet holds just enough coconut and MCT oil along with butter for one cup of coffee.

I found, as you can see in my video, that a battery operated frother blended it well and it stayed blended until the last drop.  They sent me the hazelnut and I like it! Gives me the fats I normally would get at home with my normal bulletproof coffee but in a convenient travel pack! Great for work or school too!  They have great reviews, and you can get them right on their website. It’s $24 for a box of 20, and you can use discount code ketokrate2 to get 10% off (until Sept 30th).

Skout Jalapeno Salsa Raw Pumpkin Seeds ($3.99)

  • Naturally dense with nutrients, Skout is as honest and real as the wilderness itself
  • Certified Organic
  • Non-GMO; Gluten-Free; Vegan; Kosher
  • 10g Protein; Raw; Nutrient-Rich; Dairy & Soy free
  • Only 2 net carbs per serving!

Michael and I both like these and agree that the jalapeno salsa sneaks up on you! LOL! At only 2 net carb per serving (which is half the bag!) it’s a great snack!

Amazon has these in 3 flavors: Jalapeno Salsa, Black Pepper BBQ, Pacific Sea Salt  and there is a 15% off coupon available too!

Miracle Rice by Miracle Noodle, 8ounces ($3.49)

I am anxious (and hesitant at the same time) to try this one out! I rather like the tofu noodles I found in my local store but everyone raves about the Miracle brand products. Like I mentioned in my video I think I am going to add it to my cauliflower rice in some fried rice… what do you think? How have you used it?

It’s only $2.79 on the Netrition site. Amazon has a 6-pack of the rice and a very popular variety pack that includes 3 best sellers all in 1 box: 2 Shirataki Angel hair, 2 Shirataki Rice & 2 Shirataki Fettuccini so you can try all three.

Biltong Seasoned Dried Beef, Braaitime Gourmet Cured Meat ($12.99)

I was sent a 4 ounce bag of biltong, which I am familiar with having eaten with friends from South Africa over many years. I am not going to sit here and tell you this one is as good as the one I have had (and will have next weekend at a local South African wine festival!) but it’s pretty good. Their website is down as I write this but it is available on Amazon in a variety of sizes.

Sweetwood Cattle Co. Fatty Stick, BBQ ($3.50)

We REALLY like these! If you follow me (@SkinnyOnLowCarb) on Instagram you saw that I cut up 1/2 of one to have with some cheese and a cocktail with Michael. While the company lists them at $3.50 they offer a box of 15 on Amazon for $2.99 each.

Nature’s Hollow Sugar Free Maple Syrup, 10 ounces ($5.19)

Last but not least, and let me just take a minute to say that the Keto Krates are really well packed, including glass bottles like this Sugar-Free Maple Syrup from Nature’s Hollow. I have eaten and love their preserves but I have never had the opportunity to try their syrup so I am glad to get the chance!

I found it on Amazon and while their reviews are excellent the price is not, so I will order it from Netrition where it is only $5.49.

So a little about Keto Krate…

Keto Krate Fun Facts:

  • Always Low Carb: All snacks in Keto Krate have less than 5g of carbs per serving. Often much less.
  • Natural Is Better: “Nuts, dried meats, dried cheeses and more. If it’s natural and low carb it’s at the top of our Keto snack list.”
  • No Contract / Money-Back Guarantee: You can cancel at anytime, there’s no long term contract! Satisfaction guaranteed!
  • NO Maltitol so your tummy will love you for it!

It’s always tough to figure out the value and your return on what you spend on any subscription box because of all the places you can order from and what works for you. Also because you cannot buy, for example, just one Adapt Coffee Shot!

But if you go with the lowest cost of all these items as I laid them out for you it would conservatively cost well over $80 if you had free shipping from Amazon and paid the flat rate shipping to Netrition.

So a very good deal for the $34.95 (plus $4.95 shipping) that a Keto Krate is to order! But WAIT! Scott and Jordan were nice enough to give me a promo code just for my readers! Just pop 10OFFKK into the box at checkout for 10% off  your first box!

Remember that there are discounts codes included for almost every single item in the box too which makes the value even better!

Scott and Jordan  are shipping daily right now but only until they run out of this September Keto Krate, so if you really want this  box you should sign up today! It’s  a super value and will sell out fast! You’ll get it right away and remember, you can cancel anytime!

Please let us all know which of the items in the September Keto Krate you like and are excited to try in your comment below! In the meantime, ciao for now!
Ciao! ~Marge Burkell
