Okay so I was supposed to be on my way back from Disney World today but thanks to Hurricane Matthew we cut our Food and Wine Festival trip short and bugged out early. I knew my Keto Krate was being held at my local post office so I quickly changed my redeliver date to today…
There are lots more snacks in this month’s box than there were before… you can see what was in my August and September boxes in those unboxing videos, price comparisons and mini-reviews… As you can see those had some mixes etc. This month it’s all snacks and one hot cereal. Let’s look at them one by one…
“An outrageously savory crunch mad with smoked paprika and zesty lemon juice.” I thought that was an odd combination as I read it and was prepared for them to be a weird tasting granola-like snack! I couldn’t have been more wrong! They are chip like bursts of delicious flavors!
The bag reads “spice up fresh salsa, kale salads or enjoy with a glass of soft Merlot.” Uh, no. I am thinking guacamole, pimento cheese dip, sliced cheese, on top of any salad other than kale, which I hate, but I agree with the Merlot, or a good pinot noir! I would even toss these on top of a good chili!
I finally pried the expiration date sticker off the bag and there is only 1 net carb per 1 ounce serving! There are 3-1/2 servings in the bag so that’s a lot of YUMMY goodness for practically no carbs!
You cannot order individual bags on their website but you can get an assorted pack of the Smoked Paprika, Chili Lime and Chipotle Curry for $12.50 + $5 flat rate shipping so that makes them $5.83 per bag… that’s probably what I would do, but you can also order a 4-pack of just the Smoked Paprika, the flavor in the krate for $16.50 + $5 s/h so that works out to $5.38 a bag. Amazon has them in 6-packs for as low as $3.99 + you can qualify for free shipping.
The No Cow bar is mint chocolate chip flavored and true to taste. I am popping mine into the refrigerator because I like them to be cold and chewy so I have a lot to sink my teeth into. I like this one right out of the wrapper so it would be good either way and great for taking in the car, to work, school, etc! There are only 4 net carbs in the whole bar so definitely low enough for an in between meal snack! By the way it’s called NO COW because it is dairy free! They are currently sold out on the D’Naturals website, but I would be more apt to order them from Netrition where they are only $29.88 for a box of 12 making them $2.49 each or $2.99 after adding in their $5.99 flat rate shipping.
My ChocoRite peanut butter cup patties were a bit smashed but that didn’t detract from the great flavor. As mentioned I like some chocolates and hate others, usually because some have a fake too-sweet to enjoy it taste.
This one doesn’t have that… it is just a good mix of chocolate and peanut butter that is just sweet enough without going over the top to cloying! The nutritional breakdown is 25 carbs, 20 grams of fiber and 4 grams of artificial sweetener (so it’s not all sugar alcohol) so only 1 net carb for the whole package! Score! I would order these from Netrition, where they are only $1.06 apiece when you buy a case of 16. They run $1.99 each on the Chocorite website.
OKAY, now let’s just take a minute here to say I officially say I am 100% WRONG!!! I was lucky enough to get the keto krate that included the ketologie Vanilla Coconut grain free low carb NOAT-MEAL. I made a blanket statement that I do NOT like hot cereals at all… well I am utterly embarrassed! I don’t like this one either! I LOVE IT!
I made it for Michael after filming the video and since I liked what I licked from the spoon before putting it into the microwave I felt compelled to taste test it after it came out… O-M-G!!! This is NOT like ANY other hot cereal I have ever tasted and the hubby said the same thing! It was embarrassing, we all but fought each other for it! LOL! So much so that I totally FORGOT to take a picture until we had all but licked the bowl clean! It has a sweet nutty taste with a hint of coconut sweetness… almost like you are tasting a really good cake batter. Not cloying, but robust sweet if that makes sense.
I made it with 1/4 cup of heavy whipping cream to keep the carbs down and nuked it 40 seconds, not the full minute because it was hot enough at that point and since it can be eaten cold I figured it’s not being cooked so why not? Why not indeed! At only 3.3 net carbs for the very generous serving I will definitely be buying more! The only place you can order this is on the ketologie website where it is $16.00 for a bag that makes 8 servings = $2.00. It is discounted if you start a subscription and they have included a 15% off coupon code in the Keto Krate that is good through November.
So I thought this box couldn’t get any better….
…and then I opened the Foods Alive Good-n-Hearty Onion Ring Clusters! It has onion, sunflower seed, pumpkin seeds, hemp seeds sesame seeds… etc. etc and LOTS of great flavor! They are good right out of the bag and at only 2.5 net carbs for a full 1/4 of the bag you might be tempted! I am thinking sprinkled over salads, soups AND on Thanksgiving green bean casserole instead of French onions! Believe me when I tell you that you will NOT go wrong with this low-carb alternative! Literally unless you leave the bag where your guests can see it they will NEVER know! You can order these delicious Onion Ring Clusters from the Foods Alive website for $6.79 + $6.10 s/h for a total of $12.89 or you can grab them off of the Vitacost website for $6.36 (get 12% off with the promo code JUST4YOU and they participate in ebates so be sure to use that too! ) + $4.99 s/h = $10.61. They are currently unavailable on Amazon. Guess they are really popular!
Next up is a South African influenced dried sausage that is made by Ayoba-Yo here in the United States. Michael bought this type of sausages at the South African wine festival we went to last month and promptly lost it packing up to come home. Whomever in our party that got it got a treat because it’s a great ZERO carb snack.
Well today was his lucky day because this one is very similar in flavors and consistency as the one he lost, made by the company that was featured in last month’s Keto Krate! It’s made with high-quality grass fed beef and is a great take it with you snack…. and now he’s happy again! Noat-meal AND South African sausage how much happier can the man get? You can order these from their website for $8.99 + $3.10 s/h and tax to VA brings it up to $12.31. I will order Michael’s on Amazon for only $ 10.99 + FREE shipping.
I mentioned in the video that I personally have gotten away from the Atkins bars lately… not because I don’t like them but because I like them too much! They are just a bit more expensive than I like spending for a snack ever since Michael got forced into retirement. But I am going to make an exception for the Harvest Trail Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel Bars!
I love sea salt caramel, dark chocolate and well, the combination of the nuts gives it a rich salty crunch I love! I will cut it into thirds like I said but there is only 4 net carbs in the whole bar so safe for anyone off of induction! I will order mine from the Netrition site, where they cost the same as the Atkins site but for far less shipping.
If you want the muffin in a mug recipes I mentioned in the video, you’ll find those here on the blog! Just pop MIM in the search box if you don’t believe me!
Last but not least is the Vermont Cracked Pepper beef and pork stick. I am serving it with some cheddar cheese tonight for cocktail hour so I don’t know what it tastes like yet so watch either the Facebook group or Instagram account to see what we think! You can only buy them in a 24-pack for $32.95 ($1.37ea) + Shipping on their website but you can grab a 24 pack of them on Amazon for $31.30 AND there is a 20% off coupon too! That means that they will only be $25.04 or $1.04 each!
As you see there are lots of coupons and promo codes to use when you buy or order any of the included products every month. In addition to that if you pop 10OFFKK into the box you’ll get 10% off your first box!
I have to say this is my favorite box yet! I certainly don’t think you will be disappointed and it’s still shipping so I would order one now before you miss out! If you already got the October box I would love to hear what you think so be sure to leave a comment below!
IS KETO KRATE FOR YOU?
But is it for you? Will you get good value? Let’s do a breakdown in cost… the Keto Krate is $34.95 (plus shipping) each month…
Okay, so you can get some of the items on Netrition and they have a low flat-rate shipping of $5.95 no matter how much you order, but other items you’d have to order on Amazon or on the individual websites which makes it tough to compare.
You have to order most of the products in boxes, or bulk but even ordering using the cheapest options I could find, it would cost you approximately $110.00+ to purchase these products online!
That makes this month’s Keto Krate a GREAT value at only $34.95! Be sure to use my discount code, 10OFFKK at checkout to save 10% off your first box! In addition to that you can cancel anytime, and you can even order individual Keto Boxes on their website! They also include coupons and discount codes in every box which increases the value a lot more!

I like the opportunity to try out products that I wouldn’t even know about otherwise! You know how hard it is to find great low-carb foods, this way you get new items to try in your Keto Krate every single month! Score!
So what do you think? is Keto Krate for you? Only you can decide. I think this month’s krate is a great value! I think they will sell out fast so if you want one, order it now! In the meantime, ciao for now!
