How to Make Hummus AND Keep it Low Carb at the Same Time!

I’ve had the background research done for this article for a while, all the various recipes sitting in my Pocket.  But when I saw that a gal on a low-carb group I love ate traditional hummus for lunch today simply because she didn’t realize all the carbs it contains that was the kick in the butt I needed to put pen to paper, or in this case use my research to type up this post for you!

Traditional hummus is made from chickpeas and are, along with most beans, very high in carbs! Here’s some GREAT low-carb hummus recipes and some dipper ideas to keep your low-carb diet on track!

Now that we have your tasty low-carb hummus made WHAT are you going to dip into them? How about low-carb crackers?  There are a number of  low-carb breads you can also toast and use use as  dippers.

In lieu of traditional crackers think about grabbing celery or colored peppers to dip up these yummy low-carb dips! OR how about slices of zucchini, cucumber or squash? They are all good!  OR here’s something you might not have thought of… pepperoni chips or bacon pieces!  Pork rinds!  There are LOTS of alternatives to the traditional crackers that will keep you low carb and keep you low carb!
